Replying to old Google reviews: FAQs
Should I reply to old Google reviews?
Yes. Customers scroll back through your reviews before they call, and an old review with no reply looks like nobody's listening. Google notifies the reviewer when you reply, and they can update their review afterwards, so even a years-old reply can still help.
Is it too late to reply to a review from years ago?
No. A short, genuine reply such as "Thanks, and sorry we missed this at the time" is always better than silence. For old negative reviews, a calm reply showing what you've changed since is one of the most useful things a future customer can read.
Does Google tell the customer when I reply to an old review?
Yes. Google notifies the person who wrote the review when you reply, whenever that is. They can then edit their review, which updates its date.
What does the Backlog Clear-Out cost?

How long does it take?
Seven days from when you add us as a manager on your Google Business Profile. Most backlogs are finished sooner.

We never reply to anything under 3 stars without speaking to you first. We call or WhatsApp you, agree the approach, then post a calm, specific reply.
When do I pay?
After we've checked your profile and confirmed how many reviews need replies. We send a secure card payment link, and work starts once it's paid. Nothing is charged before you know the exact price.
What happens after the clear-out?
